wow i completely forgot to post about my new place. well... it's right in the heart of James Bay. an area i've lived in before and really enjoyed. this place doesn't have everything i was looking for... but it's got the important ones in spades. super close to the James Bay Thrifty foods which is huge. i love being really close to a good grocery store. and that one is my favourite.
it's a well kept building with 24hr laundry, on the ground floor and i'm in 211. so that's easy. practically in-suite! and on the whole... it's definitely better than the place that got scooped out from under me. i'm glad i didn't get it. it had some things this place doesn't have... but it's got the major ones.
it's a block and change from dallas road, which is going to be sweeet in the summer time. it's also not too far from work. it will be quite the hike to get to school. but that's ok, because once i move in, i'm going to buy a scooter.
i'm super stoked to get it. for the first time in my life i'll have that independance a vehicle provides. even though gas is going down, cars are still absurdly expensive. the one i'm getting fills up on $3.75. hahaha! i don't envy car owners. ech. but this will get me to school, work, friends places... and out to moms house on a far more regular basis.
anyway....
things are good. i'm excited to move. the party pad was awesome, and i wouldn't have traded the experience. but i'm tired of living here now that i think about it. it's always kind of a mess and i can't set it up exactly the way i want. i'll miss the view, but my new place has more than enough space for me, and it's quiet, with no sketchy people lying around in the front yard.
i'm still lining up the massage school for september, and i'm going to do some work with my managers wife who does massage professionally and certifies people in certain types of massage. i'm going to teach her the fundamentals of Qigong in exchange. and who knows what kind of opportunities may arrise. if anything, i'll have a leg up when i start school.
a new chapter ahead.... and it's going to be great.
oh yeah.... Merry Christmas!
