After an evening with Sarah and some friends at Butcharts last night (photos to come) I was wandering home this morning and roamed through the park on what was a remarkably calm and serene morning in the village.
There were thousands of leaves amongst the fir branches on the ground, but this one just happened to be sitting up a little. Almost as if it was saying "Hello. I would like my photo taken please."
Happy to oblige little guy.
My 50mm is in its wheelhouse right here. With the aperture set wide open at f1.4, I get beautiful blurring in the front and the back. And with the way the fir branches are laid about, I almost get a bit of a swirling effect.
LOVE this. The village is great to walk around in any time of year, but in the fall and winter it sure does feel cozy, even though you're outside!
